Sue Sandberg, MBA, RN, is chief executive officer of MelroseWakefield Healthcare and executive vice president of Wellforce. Sandberg demonstrates exceptional executive leadership in healthcare and is a driving force for innovation.
She began her career in nursing and quickly achieved success as a strategic leader of large, comprehensive community-based healthcare systems. She is especially adept at helping organizations grow through thoughtful strategic planning and service line development. She is skilled at achieving operational success and is known for her passion for working with physicians and recruiting top medical talent. She has achieved success in growing programs and services, driving quality improvements, and managing capital and joint venture projects.
Prior to joining MelroseWakefield Healthcare, Sandberg served as a chief operating officer of UNC REX Healthcare in Raleigh, NC. She was responsible for leading operations across the system, including the development and implementation of operational and growth goals in service, quality, value, and medical staff engagement.
Sandberg has a respected reputation for giving back to important communities and causes, often serving as a board member or board chair for community, clinical and national organizations.
Sandberg received her bachelor of science degree from Minnesota State University Mankato, Mankato, MN. and her master of business administration degree from DePaul University, Chicago, IL. She and her husband have two children pursuing their college degrees.
